Taking advantage of new FiddleFly features.

While the FiddleFly office is chock full of rock stars, this week we have to go ahead and give a standing ovation to our incredible developers. They may have gotten all of 10 hours of sleep over the past few weeks or so, but the results include some really exciting new features to our platform. In the spirit of always keeping you in the know, we thought it would be helpful to go ahead and provide a little rundown of what to expect from the newest additions to the FiddleFly toolbox. To see a demo of all the new features, click here, or you can access individual videos for each feature by clicking the section titles.

Unpublish Capability

As mobile websites become easier to quickly build and publish with FiddleFly, it is becoming standard practice for agencies to build numerous landing pages or microsites for special offers and contests. Now with the Unpublish feature, you can easily pull those sites down after the deals expire, or simply unpublish any site that is undergoing edits. The Unpublish feature is just one more way to take control of your entire mobile web business.

Site Status Indicators

We have had several customers mention to us that when they are working on multiple sites, they would like a simple way to see the publication status of each site. Well when our customers speak, we listen, which is why we have added a color-coded dot system into the “Websites” section of the interface. The dots will appear next to the website name with different colors indicating different phases of publication. Gray indicates a non-published site, green indicates a published site, red indicates a site that has been unpublished, and orange indicates a site currently being edited.

Marketing Toolbox

The Marketing Toolbox is a staple within the fiddlefly platform, and houses a number of pre-made materials that our customers can take advantage of to help market mobile sites to their clients. We are always hard at work creating new and current materials to stock in the Toolbox, and this week we have added several new items. Along with a revamped PowerPoint presentation and a mobile web stat postcard, we have included a link to our collection of over 40 mobile web infographics. Feel free to download and put any or all of them to use to help convey the importance of going mobile to your clients, and of course if you would like some advice or assistance, you can always contact our Customer Expansion Team at 410-309-7414.

All of the features above are available immediately to all users, and for our PowerStation and PowerStation Pro licensees, we have even more great new stuff.

Multi-user Functionality

Now you can easily collaborate on projects by having multiple users make edits. The system will alert you when another user is working on a site, and will only allow one person to make changes at a time. This way you can make the mobile site building process a team effort even if your team is halfway around the world.

Image Gallery

Perfect for artists’ portfolios, property managers’ homes, or any business that needs a collection of photos or images to be easily organized and viewed. The Image Gallery widget can be dropped into the interface exactly like a single image, and you can upload as many images as you like by simply clicking on the files.

Custom Homescreen Icon Generator

Now you can put your clients’ sites directly on their customers’ mobile device homescreens by uploading any custom icon. Access the Icon Generator by clicking on the “Project Settings” tab at the left of the interface and then selecting the “Custom Homescreen Icon” tab. Upload any image, however we suggest sizing the image to 144 x 144 pixels for optimal icon resolution. The icon will automatically link to the homepage of your mobile site with one touch.

As always, there is plenty more to come, but for now feel free to experiment with the new features, take advantage of the new tools, and of course, stay in touch by following us on Twitter @fiddlefly, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.
